A Longer Version

Vision (Purpose) – Reaching the Whole Family for Christ

We believe that families are under attack in our society.  In many ways our society has worked against the family unit.  We believe that in order to reach an individual for Christ – we should intentionally strive to reach the whole family for Christ.
Every church has been called by Jesus to make disciples (Matthew 28:19). However, how each individual church feels called by the Lord to accomplish that mandate may differ. At Mt Oak Fellowship, we believe that the Lord has specifically called us to focus our sights on reaching the whole family – children, youth, adult and the elderly.
While we work hard to have excellent programs that reach these age groups, we want our heartbeat to be the whole family.  We want to be intentional about strengthening families, as well as assisting family members to effectively reach their whole household for the Lord – just like the Philipian jailer did in Acts 16:32-34.

Mission (Process)

The mission of our church is the way that we believe that we will achieve the vision that God has placed on our hearts – Reaching the Whole Family for Christ. Our mission guides and directs our ministry activities so that we remain focused on the work that the Lord has prepared for us. We believe that God has called us to fulfill our vision through these three mission steps:

Bring In

(Bringing the whole family into environments where they can encounter Christ)

Build Up

(Building up the whole family in Christ through discipleship)

Send Out

(Creating opportunities for the whole family to serve Christ in our community)

We believe that as we follow these mission steps that we will make disciples, as Jesus has commanded us, and that ultimately these disciples will have a desire and a passion to help people reach their whole family for Christ:

That they may
Bring others to Christ
