Coronavirus Update

For those of you have not heard, Governor Hogan has announced that as of Friday, May 15th at 5 pm, the state of Maryland will be entering Phase 1 of the Roadmap to Recovery and the stay-at-home order will be lifted. As each of us wrestles with what that means to us on an individual level, I would like to provide an update about the plans we have at Mount Oak Fellowship for the near and intermediate futures.

The ironic point of this curse is that we crave excitement and change, but life is usually better in dull times when we experience peace and tranquility. “Interesting times” are usually troubled and uncertain.

This week is Holy Week, the week during which for 2,000 years the followers of Jesus Christ have paused to remember his crucifixion and resurrection. Unfortunately, during Holy Week of 2020 much of the world finds itself quarantined due to the Coronavirus. As a result, the question is “how can we worship the Lord during this strange time?”
