Some people believe that the promise of eternal life that began when Jesus rose from the dead is too good to be true. Granted, it’s easy to see why some people might think that, but the message of Easter is not a pill that makes us mindlessly happy, but rather a trumpet call that first awakens and disturbs. In this year’s Easter message, Pastor Barnes challenges us to place ourselves in the shoes of Jesus’ earliest disciples and then ask: “What do I really believe?”, and “What am I truly living for?”
