So, if you are not perfect…
When we are first told that the Bible is a holy book about God meeting people and doing great things, it is almost natural to expect that most of the people in the Bible would be perfect, or nearly perfect. That of course is not the case. Instead, the people that are described to us throughout the Bible are a mixture of imperfection, faith, and gradual growth. This week, Pastor Barnes will hold up to us as an example a man called Peter, who Jesus called to become a disciple. Both Peter’s strengths and weaknesses are well known, but what is the most important thing for us to see is how Christ dealt with Peter in his imperfection.
