“The Sane Fanatic” or The Wesleyan Way of Following Jesus: Session #4 – The Holy Spirit and Holiness

“The Sane Fanatic” or The Wesleyan Way of Following Jesus: Session #4 – The Holy Spirit and Holiness

Many people today make little room for faith in God, or they hope to have just enough faith to get by. That is understandable. That is only human. But deep down, all of us know that that approach makes no sense. Either God is not real and therefore does not matter at all, or God is real and that means being rightly related to God should be the most important goal of our lives.

But what does it look like to be rightly related to God?

This week Pastor Barnes will share something of the Wesleyan/Methodist understanding of a word in the Bible that is supposed to apply to all Christians, but scares and confuses most of us. That word is “holiness.” So, if you are serious about your faith (or think you might be one day) listen in and think about what holiness does not mean, and even more importantly, what it does mean.

Speakers: Rev Robert Barnes (Mount Oak Fellowship of the UMC) and Miriam Swafford
